But the founder of one of Britain’s biggest dating website has now decided to take radical action to root out fake and sleazy profiles - after revealing that many of the “women” who use the hook-ups section of his site are actually men in disguise.Writing to members on Monday, Markus Frind, the Canadian founder of Plenty of Fish (POF), said that he had been forced to make a series of changes to its membership rules because too many male users are harassing women for sex. This guy continues to create profiles with pix of a married Egyptian drummer.I have notified POF yet this scammer/loser/creep continues to post: "tempeprince2018" Be VERY cautious and careful. Scammers also tend to say they are pet lovers and widowed (I can't believe how many men under 50 are widowed)! For the first seven years, this worked really well, I got the site to 10 million users without any employees and Po F was generating a ton [sic] of relationships”But Frind said he would now be making changes, adding: “Intimate Encounters on POF can be summed up as a bunch of horny men talking to a bunch of horny men pretending to be women.”In other changes he has curtailed users from contacting members where there are age gaps of 14 or more years.
Disclaimer: Free online dating services come with a price, after all.
So I deleted my profile 4 months ago and now have some supposed female scammer posing as Ken4316 and has her first name as Helen.
People I can't express enough how corrupted that site is and the few really honest and good folk that are there are suffering for it. I know they are fake because the pix are of an obscure foreign actor or singer (do a simple Google Images check of photos that seem too good to be true or the guy says he is 52 but the picture is clearly of someone under 30).
There are also MANY disgusting nude pix but again, POF does NOTHING.
i registered for a hot date, what i got was something else.
Catfishing, phishing and sexy chat-botting: the online dating world can be a confusing place.
